Go athletes!

I love the Olympics!

It’s so impressive to watch the result of years of training and dedication for a few seconds of performance sometimes (diving, judo, weight lifting, etc). We often think of athletes as people who can train all day everyday with the help of sponsors. But, in reality, most of them need to actually have a full-time job, train 5 hours a day, pay for their own coach and hope that someday their hard work will pay off. That’s what I think about when I watch the Olympics and it’s a great source of inspiration and motivation. I try to store that motivation so that it stays with me for as long as possible. It’s a lot easier to wake-up at 5h15 am for a run when you think about the many sacrifices of the athletes (even if I don’t have a coach or teammates waiting for me!). Another great way to find motivation in difficult times is a good book like the one of Kara Goucher. Works everytime!

You can be sure I’ll be watching the games on Sunday for the women’s marathon🙂
